Catalyst On Call Supervisor

Primary Purpose //

The Catalyst On Call Supervisor / Catalyst Kids Assistant shall serve and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of the Vision and Mission of Catalyst Church: “To glorify God by loving all people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ”. (Matthew 22:36-40; Matthew 28:19-20)

 

Essential Duties and Core Responsibilities

The Catalyst On Call Supervisor / Catalyst Kids Assistant responsibilities are to work in conjunction with Catalyst Church as a whole. The Catalyst On Call Supervisor / Catalyst Kids Assistant reports and answers directly to the Childrens Director. The Catalyst On Call Supervisor / Catalyst Kids Assistant is effectively working to champion and implement the Vision and Mission of the Childrens Ministry, and overall functions of Catalyst Church.

 

On Call Team Supervisor

  • Organize and monitor the monthly work schedule sent out to the Catalyst On Call Team utilizing assigned online scheduling platform
  • Coordinate with all ministries of Catalyst Church and work to maintain a consistent pool of Catalyst On Call Team workers to adequately provide the needed support for events that occur throughout the week and weekend which include, but not limited to:
    • Operation Hope Front on Tuesday mornings
    • Support Groups / Short Term Groups on Wednesday evenings
    • Catalyst Students on Sunday evenings
    • Support Groups / Short Term Groups on Sunday evenings
    • Special events during week or weekends
  • Recruit and interview Catalyst On Call Team candidates to be added to pool of Catalyst On Call Team workers
  • Coordinate with the Catalyst Child Care when special events are going on at the same time as Child Care is open and operating
  • Regular communication to Catalyst On Call Team about serve opportunities
  • Maintain a healthy team of workers to cover all of the needed events/programs
  • Consistent evaluation of Catalyst On Call Team utilizing guidelines of the Catalyst On Call Employee Handbook
  • Open facility (if needed) and ensure all scheduled Catalyst On Call Team workers are present, checked in and ready to receive children
  • Develop leaders within the Catalyst On Call Team to supervise different events/programs

 

Jacksonville Campus Weekend Environment Responsibilities

  • Early Drop Off check in of volunteer children and make sure they get to early multi-service environment properly and safely
  • Various duties as assigned by Catalyst Kids Coordinator – Jacksonville Campus Specialist and Children’s Director
  • Assist during Jacksonville Campus Catalyst Kids weekend services

 

General

  • Jacksonville Campus weekend services Catalyst Kids Multi-Service room setup/tear down and adequately stocking environment with activities and snacks
  • Jacksonville Campus weekend services Catalyst Kids environments room tear down
  • Present in Jacksonville Campus Catalyst Kids environments at all Weekend Services, excluding the one in which you choose to attend
  • Assume responsibilities for any additional Catalyst Kids Events or Projects as assigned by the Childrens Director

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of a Biblically based church congregation or have a willingness to become a member of Catalyst Church.
  • Possess the ability to demonstrate a commitment to the overall Vision and Mission of Catalyst Church and exhibit a heart that “Loves God, Loves Each Other, and Loves Our World”. 
  • Possess the ability to demonstrate a commitment to the overall Vision and Mission of the Childrens Ministry.
  • Embodies a high level of spiritual maturity.
  • Embodies a high level of integrity, humility, and sacrifice.
  • Embodies a high level of organization, administration, and focus. 
  • Have a commitment to love the next generation and their families.
  • Have a commitment to honestly and authentically care for people.
  • Possess a strong ability to remain focused on vision and direction.
  • Possess strategic thinking while remaining focused on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.
  • Possess the ability to accomplish assigned projects through ministry and staff.
  • Experience is preferred in working with and managing volunteers as well as a large and diverse team.

Attendance 

 

  • Open facility (if needed) and attend all scheduled events, services, and activities as necessary unless approved by the Children’s Director
  • Maintain regular office hour within the requirements established by the Execuive Pastor of Operations and Children’s Director (20 hours // Week: Sunday – Thursday)
  • Availability to attend meetings (when necessary) outside normal office hours
  • Attend all staff meetings     
  • Attend and maintain a personal worship experience
  • Attend required trainings for the Children’s Ministry team during and outside of normal business hours, unless directed by the Children’s Director.
